About Us

 Our story began when Johnny Pitts, an egg farmer from Florida, moved to Birmingham, Alabama and went to work for a friend who owned a painting company. After developing a passion and love for painting, he started Pitts Painting in 1992. He was very successful in Birmingham, but eventually moved back to Florida, where Pitts Painting became just as successful in a new locale. Fast forward to 2009, when his youngest son Matt, joined him full time after growing up working alongside him. Matt began taking over the company in 2017.

Today, Pitts Painting is putting down roots in Henderson County, KY where Matt lives with his wife on their 5th generation family farm. Matt still runs Pitts Painting as a family owned and operated company, striving to adhere to Johnny’s standards of quality work, fair prices, and always putting the customer first. Johnny is mostly retired now and only paints occasionally for his closest customers, but he has left Matt a heritage and company to be proud of.
